My last blog post was about the immune system and the gut. Therefore, it is only fair I deep dive into this hot topic of discussion.
What is gut health?
Your gut has pretty much its own ecosystem full of fungi, bacteria, viruses, etc. it is also where 70-80% of your immune cells live. This ecosystem helps digest your food, keeps your immune system functioning, removes toxins from the body, and generates vitamin K (the vitamin that helps your blood clot). Yes, the bacteria in your gut naturally makes Vitamin K.
There is good and bad bacteria in the gut and keeps the balance of good + bad is important.
