Hello I’m a 25 year old who’s been on this ITP ride since September of 2018. I went to the doctors for what I thought was a toothache (i grind my teeth at night) and they gave me amoxicillin I woke up from a nap with petechiae at the time I thought I had a reaction to the amoxicillin cause I had no clue what petechiae was. I never had nose bleeds or crazy bruising I had a CBC done a few months prior and my count was 185k.... so I made an appointment to see my doctor again she told me it was petechiae and changed my anabiotic I thought ok (keep in mind it wasn’t a toothache) I went home but didn’t take the new prescription The next morning I woke up with a blood clot in my eye went to the er to find out I had a platelet count of 2k did 5 rounds of platelets 6/7 rounds of Dex 2 rounds of IVIG and as of today my count is finally in the 222k range 💜💪🏼
